I AM SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!

After nearly 15 months, Robert IS COMING HOME!!!! I was literally jumping for joy when Robert gave me the news earlier today that he got the job! I was in tears I was so excited. We've been waiting for this day for soooo long and I cant think of a better wedding anniversary gift from our heavenly father than this one!

I still cannot believe this is real, I am so HAPPY! I'm not sure how many times I asked Robert, "You're lying... you're just kidding... tell me you're not playing around..." over and over again, I just could not believe this was happening!

The amazing thing is that exactly 7 days ago I started fasting for 7 days so that he would get the job, and today was the last day. Thank you to all who kept us in your prayers!

This is DEFINITELY going to be celebrated with a welcome home and house warming party. Exactly as I wanted it. I didn't want a housewarming party until he was back home! He starts his new job here on September 29, so the party will be the Saturday before on the 27th so save the date! It will be a full house because EVERYONE'S invited! I'll keep you all posted with more details about it as the date comes closer!!! WOOHOOO!!!!

Happy Anniversary (6 years)

Well today is definitely going to be a memorable day for our anniversary, particularly because we both didn't REMEMBER it was our anniversary today!!! lol... In my mind, I was completely thinking we were in August. Well that was my excuse! No, I really did think we we're in August. It completely slipped from Robert's mind too.

How can this be?!?!? Crazy, I know. I'm blaming it on the whole move, we've been soooo occupied with all that stuff for weeks now. We realized it was today
when we got a reminder on Robert's calendar that it was our anniversary and our friend, Kurt Bucy's birthday (HAPPY B-DAY KURT!).

So we decided to do something completely original, we went to the movies and had lunch! lol... it was fun though. Although I am regretting watching a scary movie, "Mirrors" now that Robert left. Looks like I'll be sleeping with the night light on and in between my two little protectors, Robis and Ryan!

Here are some pictures from our wedding. 6 years and two precious boys later, I'm so happy and blessed to be married to this man. He's the most loving husband I could ever ask for. Our marriage has been the wildest roller coaster ride, with it's ups and downs, but I'm so glad that we've made it through all the happy times, and the rough times, such as this one! Robert is not just my hubby, he's my best friend- I LOVE YOU HONEY!

This is my wonderful dad dancing the father daughter dance, "You are so beautiful to me" He has the biggest heart for all of his children, I happen to be his favorite (don't tell my sisters!lol)

I don't think it's a coincidence that I chose to sing, "How do I live without you" by Leanne Rymes on our wedding. All of the lyrics in that song- look how that song perfectly fits our current situation...

I cannot wait until we are re-united again so that we can be together again as a family without the goodbyes! Please say a prayer for us.

Battleling Scorpions!

Hey everyone,

Sorry I've been away and haven't been blogging lately. I've been super busy with the move, we've been at our new place for almost 1 week now! So we bought a house that was a foreclosure and needed some work. The house was vacant for at least 3-4 months and the people who lived there before really trashed the place (rotting food in the fridge). Yeah really gross. But we looked past that 'cause we knew a little TLC , new paint and flooring would make the difference. Hopefully I'll post some before and after pics and you'll see what I mean!

Since the house was vacant for so long, you can imagine there was a pest problem. We immediately hired an exterminator after several failed attempts of killing them ourselves with sprays, bombs, you name it. We've been battleling scorpions and brown recluse spiders! Before we moved in we wanted to make sure the pest issue was taken care of, obviously because of the kids. After the exterminator went out there everything appeared to be dead, no more bugs in the traps and no more scorpions- so we thought.

So we moved in and two days ago I find this:

I seriously tried but I couldn't force myself to step on it! I panicked and so I just brought out my vacume and vacummed the scorpion, took out the bag and placed it inside another bag and took it out to the trash! That really freaked me out, but we're having an exterminator come out here again to do his thing because I'm so scared I'm constantly looking at the floor and the kids wear their shoes 24/7!

So I've just been busy with the kids, unpacking, painting, cleaning, you know the drill. It's so stressful when you move. I just felt so overwhelmed with the to do list that comes with moving! But things are finally settling down and the worst part is over! I'm hoping to jump back and start blogging some more here really soon!

California Vacation & Ryan's water adventures

It is no secret that small children are very curious and tend to always be getting into trouble. Well Ryan is no exception. I always have to be behind him because he's always getting into trouble.

I was at my parents house for a week and they have a big backyard that is fenced in so I dont worry too much when he's playing outside. Once I stopped hearing him, I knew he was getting into trouble so I ran out to find this...

Yes buddy, mommy caught you...

Oh Ryan... There he was, in the dogs water bowl... How he managed to fit, I have no clue, but boy was it funny... I knew it was hot outside, but I guess this was his way to keep cool... LOL...

Ok mom, I'm done and I'm ready for my bath.

But that wasnt it! He was not done here.

The next day we were in the front yard and of course Ryan found the water fountain and apparently thought it was a pool... I dont know how many times I had to put his shoes in the dryer! Can you tell he loves the water...?

It was a really nice mini vacation out in Cali. We had a little bit of everything including a 5.4 earthquake! I usually sleep through them but this was during the day and I have to admit this one did shake me up, literally!

Paola's Wedding 7/26/08

A dear friend of mine, Paola got married on July 26, 2008. She was a beautiful bride and had a really nice wedding. Robert and I came out on her wedding as a bridesmaid and groomsmen, just as she did on our wedding. Here are some of the pictures we took.

Paola is a HUGE Mickey Mouse fan, I wasnt surprised to see her cake topper!

I loved her dress, it was sooo beautiful!

Bridesmaids...

Groomsmen...

Dollar Dance...

Here's another old friend of mine since elementary school, Esmeralda. She was also a bridesmaid in my wedding and she's next!!!

This felt like prom! lol... But it was tons of fun. Robert looked really handsome in his tux. It was nice spending a day just he and I, the kids stayed at my mom's house. I love weddings, I just want to get married all over again, maybe for our 10 year wedding anniversary!

These are some of the pictures my sister Rocio took before the wedding, she loves photography.

Trip to the Museum & family picture by Robis

This is my superman! Ryan is like candy to me, I can eat him all up. He is just so sweet and so attached to his momma. I cant get enough of this kid!

You know you're cute!

Here's our adorable family picture by little Robert. Dont you just love my eyelashes! lol... This is by far my favorite picture. He is so incredibly smart, he always amazes me every day. Didnt he do a great job drawing this picture? Usually by his age, kids are drawing stick figures. He definitely got that from his Daddy, I remember Robert would draw very nice pictures when we were in elementary school together!

I took the boys to the Childrens Museum of Phoenix and I was so bummed that my phone ran out of battery shortly after we arrived. These are the few pictures I got.

Ryan just loved the hoolahoops!

I could not get little Robert to stay still even for a picture! He was way too excited and having a blast!

I think he was so tired he just had to recover for a little bit!

The museum was fun, the kids enjoyed it alot. It looks like they're still adding more things so it will get even better with time. Definitely the next time I go, I will go fully charged with batteries and prepared for tons of pictures!
